Frequently Asked Questions
Will this cause the material inside the container to go bad?
By using a vacuum sealed system, you are exponentially improving the longevity of your material. Oxidation is one of the key factors in why so much material loses its great qualities. By removing the majority of the air inside the container, this will allow you to improve the freshness and subtle undertones of the material..
Will these containers take up too much space?
The Time Capsule has been engineered to be able to stack as high as you want it to go. By purchasing the stacking system, you can shrink your footprint down while still maintaining accessibility. Minimizing the precious lost space that comes we all seem to not have enough of.
Can I exchange the air without having to open the container?
Yes. This is one of the important features that the Time Capsule can provide. By adding a quarter turn port on the backside of the container, you can decompress the vacuum pressure. You can open the valve on the backside and connect the vacuum pump to the front. This will allow you to fully exchange all of the air inside the container. One more great feature for fine tuning your hard work.
Why does the vacuum pump not pull to 28in Hg?
The reason that the vacuum pump only allows you to pull to 19 in hg is because of the sensitive undertones of certain materials. Once the Vacuum is pulled past that number, it will extract the those subtle under tones of the product. So after much testing, 19 in hg is the number that we decided on.
